Intermediate (Standard) 1st Aid and CPR/AED Courses

This comprehensive first aid course and includes CPR level 'C', and AED training, and is designed for people who need certification due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.

Basic (Emergency) 1st Aid and CPR/AED Courses

This basic one-day course offers an overview of first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and AED (Automated External De-fibrillation) skills for the workplace or home. This course is offered in conjunction with the Standard 1st Aid course. People who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home should attend this course. There are no prerequisites to attend this course.

Blended Learning 1st Aid and CPR/AED Courses

Comprehensive online learning then 1-day in-person course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. The course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

First Aid for Opioid Poisoning Emergencies (on-line)

In the First Aid for Opioid Poisoning Emergencies course, you will become knowledgeable and confident in how to respond to an opioid poisoning emergency, including how to administer nasal naloxone. You will learn more about opioids and naloxone and how they affect the body and will explore ways to reduce the influence of stigma. 

Enrollment in this course is free & you will also receive a free nasal naloxone kit upon completion of the course.

Life Saving Society First Aid Instructor Course

The Lifesaving First Aid Instructor/ Examiner course prepares instructors to teach and evaluate first aid skills. Lifesaving First Aid Instructors/Examiners deliver the Society's Basic First Aid, Intermediate First Aid (SFA), CPR, and Oxygen Administration courses (02).

CPR/AED Courses

These courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen. Oxygen Administration Courses

This course teaches how to operate various oxygen devices as well as how to respond and treat respiratory emergencies. B.C. Workplace Emergency 1st Aid (WEFA) Courses

This course is offered in conjunction with the Standard 1st Aid course, and is designed to provide additional skills to meet BC workplace OH&S guidelines. For people who currently hold Standard First Aid certification, this course can be offered as a 1hr specialty course. This course recognized by WorksafeBC as a OFA level 1. People needing first aid certification for employment purposes in British Colombia should attend this course.
